Highland Hospital Invites Neighborhood Input for Developing Its New Zoning Plan

Highland Hospital has begun developing a new zoning plan, as required by the city, and neighbors have an opportunity to have input now, as the hospital begins the process. Neighbor representatives on the Highland Hospital Steering Committee have already presented input—you can find it here. If you want to build on this input, please send your comments to Kerry Regan (kerry.regan@earthlink.net), a member of the Steering Committee, and we will see that your views are shared with the hospital. Comments can also be made when the hospital presents its initial draft zoning plan at an NBN6 meeting, probably in July. The hospital hopes to present its plan to the City Planning Commission and City Council for approval by the end of the year.

The new zoning plan is intended to govern development of the hospital campus for the next 50 years, delineating many physical parameters that will affect the neighborhood. We are getting an opportunity to have input at a much earlier point than with past Highland Hospital construction-related projects. Please take advantage of it.
